HGTV researched more than 300 houses online, and 40 to 50 in person, before landing on this one, selected for its views, pool, a two-story frame and potential for a "Ken's Den" space. The house used for the show, Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge, is located in Santa Clarita in Southern California. This picturesque suburb of Los Angeles is one of the most expensive places to live in the country, so of course it has stunning views and everything you could possibly need. The house is situated in a neighborhood of Santa Clarita called Canyon Country in Northwestern Los Angeles County.
